I recently had a fantastic stay at this hotel in North Wales. The location was perfect, away from noisy urban areas and nestled in lovely gardens. The hotel itself had a charming and old-world feel, with beautiful panelling and paintings in the foyer. The rooms were spacious and comfortable, with a massive bed that was perfect for a good night's sleep. In addition, the rooms provided great views, which was an added bonus. The staff were incredibly welcoming and attentive, making sure that all our needs were met. I was particularly impressed with their attention to detail, such as providing complimentary fruit juice, water, and fresh fruit upstairs. The breakfast was delicious, with plenty of choices and well-cooked food. this hotel exceeded my expectations and provided excellent value for money.
All was great, nothing to complain about!

Helpful bar person Tom, recommended Wrexham Lager. Nice cooked breakfast. Exceptional, fresh home-cooked food. Friendly staff engaged us in conversation. Jacobean panelling and reception stairs created a good setting. Clean, tidy room. Good size. Excellent food and pleasant, helpful staff.

The hotel facilities were excellent, with spacious grounds and beautifully decorated rooms. We opted for the continental breakfast and it was more than adequate. The staff were incredibly friendly and engaging, from the room cleaner to the young man serving breakfast, everyone made an effort to be friendly and helpful.

Spent a lovely Xmas break with friends at a hotel and the staff were fantastic. The festive decorations added to the ambience and the complimentary mulled wine and cookies were a nice touch. Located near shops and restaurants which made choosing dining options easy. Enjoyed the cozy fireplace in the lounge area, perfect for unwinding after a busy day.
The rooms were a bit outdated and could use some updating. The lack of channel options on the television made it difficult to find something to watch during downtime.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the hotel. The room was cozy and the bed was really comfortable. It was a treat waking up to the sound of birds chirping outside. The staff at the reception were extremely helpful and even printed out directions for us. The hotel has a charming old-fashioned atmosphere, reminiscent of the Grand Staircase on the Titanic. The rooms were clean and well-presented, with a comfortable bed and a flatscreen TV. The location of the hotel was ideal for exploring the Welsh borders and nearby attractions like Llangollen and Chester. we had a good experience and would consider returning in the future.
The shower in room 8 was partially better than the one in room 14, which was abysmal. Additionally, the bar area lacked atmosphere and was quite small, making the evenings a bit boring.
